Transport Planner
WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?
- Annual base salary of circa £37k per annum (DOE – client happy to discuss)
- Full-time, permanent position from day one
- Monday to Friday working hours, with optional flexible hours:
- 6:30am–4:30pm
- 7:00am–5:00pm
- 28 days leave, inclusive of bank holidays

They seek a talented Transport Planner to join their Gateshead team.
THE ROLE
- Successfully manage an established and reputable HGV fleet
- Plan and maintain HGV fleet operations
- Ensure clear and proactive communication with:
- Drivers
- Customers
- Conduct costings and route planning for the HGV fleet
- Maintain excellent administration throughout planning and execution
- Liaise with contractors as required
- Represent the client’s brand in a professional and diligent manner
- ** Manage sub-contractors** when necessary

THE PERSON
Ideally, you will have:
- Proven experience managing HVG fleets
- Transport planning expertise
- Costing and financial experience relevant to transport planning
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with:
- Customers
- Drivers
- Clients
- Route planning experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Strong planning and coordination skills
- (Bonus) Knowledge of curtain sizes and related industry specifics
