Job Description
We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Warrens Transport Team at our Rugby site. As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.
Working Hours
- 4 on 4 off nights, 18:00 - 06:00
Salary
- Up to £33,000 Per Annum.
Key Duties of a Transport Planner
- Work within the Transport team despatching and controlling the daily plan.
- Update and control time critical collections and deliveries with over 120 routes within 24 hours.
- Communicate with both warehouse and customer service regarding any delays.
- Reporting problems and dealing with issues that come up on shift.
- Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPIs.
- Proactively look for continuous improvements.
- Make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.

Qualifications
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Good knowledge of EU Driver hours and WTD.
- Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience of transport planning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
- Customer focus on delivery performance.
- Commercially and financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
- Experience of using a TMS system.
- Experience in a retail FMCG environment preferred.
