- Inclusive EV charging infrastructure
- Complex community transport needs
- Large-scale systems change via the National Centre for Accessible Transport (NCAT)
We are seeking a Transport Solutions Manager, a pivotal role blending programme leadership, governance, and stakeholder management, designed for flexible, matrix-based collaboration.
This position requires leading the coordination of NCAT (a core focus, ~50% of responsibilities) while contributing to other high-impact transport solutions across the Foundation’s portfolio.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, purpose-driven team, driving meaningful change in transport for disabled people and tackling some of the most complex challenges in the sector.

- Track plans, budgets, timelines, and risks (e.g., cost overruns, delays).
- Provide accurate, insightful reporting to senior leadership and committees.
- Escalate risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support governance & partnerships:
- Maintain guardianship over advisory boards, steering groups, and partner relationship.
- Foster alignment and shared progress between the Foundation and external stakeholders.

- Lead other projects:
- Contribute to Transport Solutions portfolio based on team-wide priorities.
- Work flexibly with other Transport Solutions managers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
