£34,839.00 per annum plus 30 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme
About The Role
You will play an important part in delivering a high standard of performance across safety, compliance, service, and cost. You will provide effective leadership and support to a team of drivers and administrators.
As Part Of Your Key Responsibilities You’ll
- Manage drivers and transport operations, fostering employee engagement and clear, effective communication including timely 1:1’s with your direct reports.
- Ensure all transport operations remain legally compliant and maintain a safe working environment aligned with Unipart’s safety and environmental policies.
- Coordinate daily routes, driver hours, and infringements while collaborating with warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely load completion.
- Monitor cost and service performance to meet targets, KPIs, and OTIF measures.
- Engage with customers to uphold service promises and promote Unipart's brand values, vision, and continuous improvement principles.
- Conduct driver pre and debriefs, perform scheduled area inspections, and lead HR or incident investigations to implement proactive corrective action plans.
- Complete transport area inspections to schedule, and promote the continuous improvement culture and sustainability across the wider transport team.

About You
We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!
- Experience of working in an operational/transport environment
- Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service
- Capability to plan and manage your own workload and communicate effectively to others
- Knowledge of transport legislation, Working Time Directive, Drivers hours
- Working knowledge and experience using digital transport systems (Microlise, TruPac, Paragon or similar)
- Desirable but not essential Certified Transport Manager (refresher/qualified)
