We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to be based at our site in Nuneaton, as part of this busy transport operation, you’ll ensure the timely and safe dispatch of drivers.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Representing the Transport Operation in the daily Ops calls (09:00 & 14:45)
- Act as the liaison point between Heidelberg and the XPO Transport Team – becoming a single point of contact for any transport queries.
- Ensure VOR / Defect management process is carried out and followed, this includes uploading into Axscend & following the defect process by updating the defect log.
- Ensure general administration, e.g. filing, queries, claims etc is handled as per requests from line managers in accordance with company requirements and deadlines.
- Daily checking of EPOD Compliance– ensuring all driver’s are held accountable for not following the correct process.
- Complete KPI Safety Tools each week – amount to be agreed by Line Manager.
- Weekly enter Timesheet data onto the Payroll spreadsheet and deal with payroll & pay queries in a timely manner.
- Ensure the sickness process is followed and all sickness is managed through AMP and all return to works complete.
- Ensure the vehicle service maintenance planner is updated.
- Be responsible for driver compliance management – including infringements, DCPC hours etc.
- Ensure the training matrix is up to date, including the planning of the training and comms to the driver.
- Complete all incident investigations thoroughly as per XPO process.
- Carry out resource planning for agency drivers.
- Carry out Toolbox talks with Drivers.
- Regularly complete Evotix compliance and ensure all safety actions are complete and signed off.
- Ensure all XPO company processes and procedures are followed as requested or trained.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- To undertake any relevant training events in line with own personal development needs and business requirements raising training needs and requirements to Local Manager.
- To undertake any other reasonable task as required as directed by the Transport Manager or other XPO Managers.

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet.
- Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environment.
- Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours.
- Computer literate as will be answering email, dispatching drivers, and compiling a handover every morning.
- Team building experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced, time critical environment.
- Some transport experience dealing with C+E drivers would be beneficial.
