YOUR ROLE

Our Childerditch operation is looking for a proactive and motivated Transport Supervisor to join the team. In this key role, you will help drive the smooth, safe, and efficient running of our transport operation, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to balance exceptional service delivery with operational costs. You will play an important part in maintaining performance, supporting the team, and contributing to the continued success of the operation.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the General Manager you will lead a team of HGV and Van drivers. You will ensure the product allocation and routes are planned. Your other day to day activities will include:

  • Maintain and enhance compliance with H&S, transport, and O-Licence requirements by staying up to date with legislative changes and promoting professional development.
  • Monitor client volume forecasts closely and adjust resource planning to meet operational demands efficiently.
  • Ensure transport operations, drivers, and fleet fully comply with CEVA policies, DVSA regulations, and O-Licence obligations.
  • Achieve operational targets and KPIs effectively, delivering consistent high standards for customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Promote and develop a safety-first culture across the team, encouraging accountability and best practices.
  • Develop team capability and succession plans, supporting professional growth.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 08:30-17:00.

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in a transport environment, with strong knowledge of tachograph legislation and the Working Time Directive. You will be experienced in leading teams as well as planning routes, with a strong customer focus and confident decision-making skills. You will be IT literate, proficient in MS Office. A Transport Manager CPC qualification would be desirable as well as experience with HIAB Cranes.
