Now, we're looking for a Transport Team Lead within our Belfast Depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for any leader looking for a rewarding career experience within an industry renowned, global organisation. If that sounds like you, then apply today.
Key Accountabilities:
- Co-ordination of all depot activities ensuring the smooth running of depot
- Supporting efficient dispatch of all routes and products to customers on a daily basis
- Coaching and motivating members of the delivery team
- Analysing the performance of drivers by accompanying them on their routes
- Ensuring delivery procedures and policies are adhered to at all times
- Effectively liaising with sales, transport, and operation departments to resolve all issues in a timely manner
- Ensuring equipment breakdown and repairs are minimised and reported
- Supporting shift manager in ensuring that company vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned and safely operated to reduce accidents and enhance the company brand
- Involved in identifying, coordinating training as appropriate to meet driver needs
- Ensuring the premises are maintained to the highest standards
- Supporting Security and Health & Safety Procedures relevant to site
- Leading by example and applying company policy and procedures in a fair, consistent and unbiased manner
- Supporting absence management, investigation and disciplinaries

Requirements:
- Experience in a relevant supervisory role in a high volume, technology driven, time sensitive distribution operation
- Experience within the Food distribution industry is advantageous
- Must possess a full Drivers Licence
- Competent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Good understanding of the Department of Transport regulations (Tachograph legislation, Work Time Directive etc.)
- Ability to influence a team to deliver the highest standards of service
- Ability to plan and organise your own and your teams work activities in a safe, efficient and effective manner
- Ability to analyse, interpret and explain and present relevant business data
- Fluent English - reading and writing
- Strong knowledge of the surrounding geographical area
- Flexible approach to working hours
