Transport Team Manager - GXO Sainsburys, Kettering

Join us at the heart of a fast-paced transport operation where no two days are the same! As our Transport Team Manager, you'll help keep the wheels turning by leading and supporting a busy transport team, ensuring deliveries run smoothly, KPIs are achieved, and our customer receives a first-class service.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Keep performance on track and ensure service levels consistently exceed client expectations
- Support the delivery of KPIs, budgets, and legal requirements while maintaining safe and efficient operations
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that boost productivity, service, and operational excellence
- Work closely with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to deliver a seamless, customer-focused transport service
- Support, motivate, and develop the transport team while promoting collaboration, compliance, and company values across all shifts

What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A confident transport leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, makes sound decisions under pressure, and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo
- A people-focused manager with experience leading and inspiring teams, empowering colleagues to deliver exceptional results
- A compliance champion with a good understanding of transport legislation, including tachographs, driver hours, and road traffic regulations
- A tech-savvy problem solver who can use systems, data, and operational insight to drive performance and efficiency
- A relationship builder and communicator who works collaboratively with stakeholders, builds trust quickly, and keeps a clear focus on continuous improvement
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,188.80 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts!
