Transportation Category Procurement Manager
Responsibilities
The Transportation Category Procurement Manager is responsible for category management across assigned Indirect Spend Categories. He/She will:
- Drive cost optimisation and service performance improvements with suppliers and divisions.
- Lead cross-regional activities across EMEA countries, Parker Hannifin Groups and Divisions, and Sales Companies.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and implement cost reduction projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your key responsibilities include:

Strategy & Market Intelligence
- Developing the regional category sourcing strategy to achieve corporate goals.
- Analysing sourcing potential (costs, lead times, technologies, etc.).
- Conducting market intelligence to inform decision-making.

Procurement & Negotiation
- Bundling of EMEA needs to optimise costs, inventory, and lead times.
- Managing RFI, RFP, RFQ, and tendering processes.
- Conducting business reviews with key suppliers.
- Negotiating and managing contracts with strategic suppliers.

Risk & Compliance
- Ensuring full compliance with internal and external guidelines.
- Assessing supply market risks and mitigating exposure.

Performance & Tracking
- Tracking and controlling year-on-year savings, SKU standardisation, spent under contract, and supplier consolidation.
- Ensuring trade payables align with best industry standards.
- Periodically reporting on project progress, functional KPIs, and market trends.

Stakeholder Leadership
- Providing functional leadership and direction to stakeholders.
- Steering cross-functional teams for structured project execution.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic candidate with: ✅ 7–10 years of procurement experience (preferably Indirect Spend in a multinational environment). ✅ Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, including fact-based negotiation and cross-functional collaboration. ✅ Strong ability to manage supplier and customer relationships, along with experience in competitive bidding and relationship development. ✅ A service-oriented mindset that prioritises client satisfaction. ✅ Outstanding project management and problem-solving capabilities. ✅ Strong leadership skills to guide supplier teams and cross-functional projects. ✅ A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred). ✅ Adaptable multitasking skills to meet fast-paced priorities and deadlines.
