Role Description
The Transportation Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chorley, United Kingdom, responsible for overseeing daily transport operations from a local depot. This position manages driver schedules, vehicle routing, and delivery timetables to ensure goods reach customers safely, on time, and in line with company standards. The role includes monitoring fleet performance, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring adherence to all relevant transport regulations and company policies. The Transportation Supervisor also supports drivers with operational issues, resolves delivery-related customer queries, and collaborates with warehouse and sales teams to maintain efficient and cost-effective logistics. Regular reporting on key performance indicators, safety compliance, and service levels is required.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, performance management, and the ability to coordinate driver and transport staff effectively.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Regulations or equivalent UK transport legislation, with a focus on safety, compliance, and best practices in commercial vehicle operations.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers, depot staff, management, and customers.
- Candidates should possess experience in Fleet Management, including route planning, vehicle utilization, basic maintenance coordination, and monitoring of fuel and operating costs.
- Candidates should possess a customer-focused approach and strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to address delivery issues promptly and maintain positive relationships.
