Job Introduction

Travel Product Set Up Manager

£45,000 - £50,000 Per Annum, Dependent On Experience

Folkestone or Crawley Hybrid (at least 3 days a week)

As our Product Set Up Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing our award-winning travel experiences to life. From unforgettable escorted tours and hotel stays to our Ocean and River Cruises, you'll ensure every holiday is accurately set up and ready for sale, helping us deliver exceptional experiences for our guests as our Travel business continues its exciting growth journey.

Leading the product set up team, you'll ensure all holidays are launched accurately, on time, and in line with our brochure and commercial timelines. Working closely with our Commercial, Product and Operations teams, you'll oversee the complete product set-up process, from initial system configuration through to launch, while quickly resolving any issues that arise once products are live.

You'll be responsible for ensuring product information, pricing and availability are accurate and consistent, giving our customers confidence when booking their next adventure. You'll also drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance system efficiency and strengthen controls, helping us support the next phase of growth across Saga Holidays and Titan Travel.

This requires you to be working from our either our Folkestone or Crawley office a minimum of 3 times a week.

Role Responsibility

As our new Travel Product Set Up Manager you will oversee resource allocation across Saga and Titan brands. Leading you team, you will ensure brochure and marketing campaign deadlines are consistently met.

Other accountabilities will include:

  • Supporting Product Set Up Leads by coordinating resources effectively and assigning team members to tasks in line with agreed timelines.
  • Maintain weekly reporting to monitor product progress from product brief through to on-sale, providing clear visibility of status and associated risk. Ensure necessary steps are in place before placing product on sale.
  • Ensuring all training is given across all set up processes ensuring cross-skilling opportunities are identified to avoid resource bottlenecks. Proactively monitoring and address any underperformance
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Product Set Up team, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and efficiently across both ground and air products.
  • Leading the implementation and testing of new products and systems within the department to enhance product bookability, efficiency and improve speed to market.
  • Running weekly brochure planning meetings, documenting progress and proactively highlighting any risks that may impact readiness for sale.
  • Overseeing our set-up outsource monitoring performance and highlighting any risks or concerns through regular KPI reporting
  • Ensuring all on-sale booking checks are completed within agreed service level agreements to maximise product bookability. Understanding root cause for any errors detected and suggested recommendations to avoid repetition.
  • Managing task queues, ensuring all items are addressed within SLAs, with a focus on identifying trends.
  • Investigating and resolving any product set-up issues or errors in a timely manner. Identifying any repeat errors and implement necessary measures to avoid repetition.
  • Continuously reviewing and streamlining processes to eliminate loading queries and providing feedback for any package inconsistencies.
  • Providing regular progress reporting, highlighting any SLA risks or potential impacts to delivery timelines.
  • Ensuring products are placed on sale accurately, considering any held back dates, company and supplier stop-sales.
  • Ensuring any package itinerary amendments are processed promptly to enable timely communication of changes to customers.

The Ideal Candidate

As our Travel Product Set Up Manager, you will have proven people leadership as well as experience in contract/product loading. Experience in the travel industry is advantageous.

You will also need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • High attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
  • Problem-solving ability and commercially astute.
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Proficient in Office 365
