Travel Operations Manager
This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, communication, and delivery of all travel and parking operations across matchdays, concerts, and major events at the stadium. The role works closely with clubs, transport providers, local authorities, traffic management agencies, external stakeholders, and internal operational teams to ensure a safe, efficient, and best-in-class visitor travel experience.
Key Responsibilities
Matchday & Event Travel Operations
- Coordinate with clubs and external stakeholders on a match-by-match basis to plan and deliver travel operations.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive travel plans for matchdays, concerts, and major event days.
- Support internal departments with travel planning for non-matchday events where required.
- Uphold a best-in-class customer experience for all stadium travel operations.
- Communicate matchday travel options to fans through websites, travel updates, social media content, and travel stories in collaboration with clubs and communications teams.
- Develop and implement fan engagement initiatives and incentives that encourage sustainable travel behaviour.
Transport Planning & Strategy
- Develop annual and seasonal travel statements and operational transport plans.
- Lead or contribute to strategic internal and external projects impacting travel operations.
- Identify and implement innovative transport solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Develop and maintain staff travel plans and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain regular communication with clubs, transport operators, local authorities, and key stakeholders regarding upcoming fixtures and events.
- Agree and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with shuttle bus and transport providers.

Budgeting, Data & Reporting
- Agree seasonal transport budgets with clubs for subsidised matchday travel services.
- Track shuttle bus revenues, passenger numbers, and associated club budgets.
- Produce operational and strategic reports relating to transport usage, performance, and sustainability metrics.
- Deliver fan and staff travel surveys to gather insight and improve transport strategies.
Parking Operations
- Coordinate parking requirements across stakeholders for each matchday and major event.
- Liaise with external car park operators regarding seasonal and event-specific parking allocations.
- Compile and confirm parking requests and distribute operational parking lists to relevant teams.
- Ensure all seasonal parking arrangements are correctly administered and honoured on event days.
Sustainability
- Lead and promote sustainable travel initiatives that encourage supporters, staff and visitors to utilise public transport, cycling, walking and car-sharing options when travelling to Ashton Gate Stadium.
- Support the delivery of Ashton Gate Stadium’s sustainability strategy by maintaining the Stadium Travel Plan.
- Monitor and analyse transport data to identify opportunities to reduce carbon emissions, improve travel efficiency.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in transport operations, event operations, venue management, or large-scale event planning.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing suppliers, transport providers, or operational contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with experience interpreting operational data.
- Knowledge of sustainable transport initiatives and event travel planning.
- Experience within sports, entertainment, stadium, or live event environments is desirable.

Salary
- £28,000 per annum
Hours
- 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
