Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Your role will combine leadership, operational efficiency, and compliance to ensure seamless tray setup operations. You will:
- Supervise and develop your team, providing clear direction, structured feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Oversee daily operations in tray setup, coordinating with all relevant departments (Kitchen, Pastry, Assembly, Stores, Planning) to meet targets and schedules.
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders to synchronise production while meeting customer specifications under dynamic demands.
- Lead as a role model to ensure a culture of precision and excellence, adhering to menu specifications, quality standards (DO & CO), and NextDay-Quality standards.
- Maintain adherence to all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), Critical Control Points (CCPs), hygiene, health, safety, food safety, and legal requirements—including compliance for unannounced audits.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including troubleshooting efficiency gaps and fostering problem-solving within the team.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics—such as productivity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)—to management.
- Cultivate strong relationships with section supervisors, fostering a positive, professional, team-oriented culture that upholds DO & CO’s reputation.

- Strategically manage personnel through labour budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to Department Managers for approvals.
- Liase closely with Management to optimise resource allocation, staying ahead of targets and fostering a collective, high-performing team culture.
- Serve as a patient champion, mentoring staff with training programmes, onboarding, and compliance oversight—including escalating non-compliance in standards.
- Uphold a hands-on learning approach: drive your own development through targeted skill-building and leadership training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in team leadership—ready to collaborate, empower, and lead with experience and flexibility.
- Proven passion for high-end luxury catering and a deep appreciation for culinary craftsmanship.
- A problem-solving mindset to continuously improve processes and address critical issues.
- Attention to detail with a data-driven approach, capable of influencing decisions and training others.
- Strong interpersonal skills to mentor, build trust, and motivate your team effectively.
- Flexibility in mindset and adaptability to embrace change while maintaining homegrown loyalty for DO & CO.
- Industry experience preferred in catering operations (especially luxury airline catering) or a similar role in fresh food production or fast-paced environments.
