We’re currently recruiting a Finance Trustee (Treasurer) to join our Board of Trustees. You will be working closely with the CEO, Finance Manager and fellow Trustees to oversee all aspects of the charity’s financial affairs.
What difference will you make?
On paper our charity looks quite small, with our regional reach being only Devon and Cornwall. However, we have a UK-wide influence thanks to our research work and the training of professionals in the domestic abuse and animal welfare sectors. A new Treasurer will help us continue this vital, life-saving work for people and their pets. You can be based anywhere in the UK.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone that aligns with the charity's values and, as our Treasurer, you will need financial qualifications and experience. Ideally, you will be a fully-qualified UK accountant with minimum of 3 years experience at this level. Some experience of charity finance would be desirable, but this is not essential as our Finance Manager has charity experience, and will be able to help you understand the differences between business and charity finance.

What will you be doing?
We currently have six other Trustees including the Chair and we're looking for a new Trustee with financial expertise to replace our out-going Treasurer. We are entering an exciting time for the charity with with some strategic challenges ahead and we need a Trustee with experience in a high-level financial role to help ensure the Board can work towards the long-term sustainability of the charity. This is a vital role for the Board and we are excited for the right person to join us.
