Role description: Treasurer

The Twisting Ducks Theatre Company CIO is looking for a new Treasurer to help us achieve our vision of a society that values the diversity, creativity and citizenship of people with learning disabilities and autistic people.

You will work with our Board of 6 skilled, committed trustees - including trustees with lived experience of learning disabilities and autism - and the senior team, to help us achieve our Mission: using the arts to tackle inequalities and improve wellbeing by increasing opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autistic people to have their voices heard and to contribute to their community.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 3 years’ professional finance experience
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • A commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and our mission
  • A strategic outlook and collaborative approach
  • Charity finance knowledge is desirable but not essential
  • Previous Board experience is not required

Time commitment

Mostly outside office hours

Estimate of time needed: 0-5 hours / month

2-hour Board meetings are held every 2 months, early evening, in Newcastle Upon Tyne, plus bi-monthly 1-hour Finance sub-group via zoom.
