We are Donors are looking for a Treasurer to join our board of trustees in this voluntary position.

Do you have the skills, time capacity and motivation to support us in our mission?

About We Are Donors

We Are Donors is a small UK-registered charity (1178843) dedicated to increasing the number of organ and blood donors across the UK through student-led education and awareness initiatives. We are a network of university groups that train students to deliver educational talks and workshops in schools, organise awareness campaigns, and run blood donation drives on university campuses. To date, we have engaged with over 20,000 students and helped recruit more than 3,000 blood donors.

About Our Board

We Are Donors is currently led by a small, highly engaged Board of Trustees. Unlike many charities, our trustees are not solely responsible for governance and oversight; they also play an active role in delivering and developing the charity's activities.

As a result, trustees are expected to contribute both strategically and operationally within their area of responsibility. The Treasurer will therefore not only provide financial oversight and governance but will also take an active role in financial management, grant budgeting and reporting, and supporting the charity's long-term financial planning.

Applicants should be comfortable taking ownership of projects, working collaboratively with other trustees and volunteers, and contributing directly to the charity's ongoing development.

About the Role

The Treasurer is a member of the Board of Trustees and is responsible for overseeing the financial affairs of the charity, ensuring that appropriate financial controls, reporting processes, and governance arrangements are in place.

The Treasurer will work closely with the Chair, trustees, and Charity Manager (paid employee) to support sound financial decision-making, contribute to fundraising and grant development, and help ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation.

As We Are Donors continues to grow, the Treasurer will play an important role in helping the charity develop a sustainable financial strategy, diversify income streams, and ensure that financial considerations are embedded within strategic planning and decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
