As Finance Assistant Accountant – Treasury, You Will Support The Day-to-day Operations Of The Asda Treasury Finance Function. This Includes Helping To Ensure Effective Cash Management, Maintain Internal Controls And Accurate Financial Records. You Will Have Responsibility For

  • Process and reconcile bank transactions, including payments, receipts, and intercompany transfers. Investigating discrepancies.
  • Assisting with daily cash positioning, monitoring balances across a multitude of bank accounts.
  • Business partnering with multiple teams across finance.
  • Submission of journals and balance sheets reconciliations to support the finance month-end process.
  • Support compliance with treasury policies and internal controls.
  • Assist with audit requests and provide treasury-related documentation.

We are looking for a candidate with prior experience in a finance, treasury, or accounting role (retail experience is a plus but not a requirement).

You Should Also Have The Following

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great analytical skills, problem solving and an eye for detail.
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Prior experience in balance sheet reconciliations desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience in use of SAP is desirable but not required.

Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
