We’re Not Hiring a Sales Engineer.
We’re hiring a Treasury Advocate. A Solution Architect. A Builder.
London (Hybrid) Full-time | Fintech SaaS | Strategic Pre-Sales & GTM Impact
You don’t just understand treasury. You help reinvent it. At Embat, we’re redefining how finance teams operate. Our AI-powered Treasury Management Platform gives companies real-time visibility over cash, liquidity, and debt, automating what CFOs and treasury teams have managed in spreadsheets for years.
Founded in Spain in 2021, Embat has grown to 150+ people across Europe. We are backed by top-tier investors including Cathay Innovation (Chime, Ledger) and Creandum (Spotify, Klarna), and have recently closed a €30M Series B funding round to accelerate our international expansion.
The UK is our next major growth market. We are looking for a Treasury & Commercial Lead to sit at the intersection of product, sales, and real customer problems. You’ll join a diverse group of nationalities and backgrounds, working closely with founders who spent over a decade in Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan before building Embat.
Your Mission
This isn’t a back-office treasury role. It is a commercially-driven, technical leadership position.
Your objective is to bring real-world treasury expertise into the vanguard of our UK growth. As a Treasury Leader, you’ll act as the primary strategic authority for finance teams evaluating Embat, bridging the gap between complex treasury pain points and the commercial value of our platform.
Working side-by-side with Sales, Product, and Marketing, you will shape how Embat is positioned in the UK and how our platform continues to evolve. You won’t just explain the product; you will lead the charge in defining how treasury is done better.
⚡ What You’ll Do
- Drive Strategic Discovery: Engage directly with CFOs, Treasurers, and Finance Directors to deconstruct their treasury setups and map their priorities to Embat’s value proposition.
- Act as the Domain Authority: Partner with Account Executives to navigate complex sales cycles, winning the technical trust of senior stakeholders from first discovery to final decision.
- Deliver High-Impact Demos: Lead product demonstrations that don't just show features, but tell a compelling narrative of financial transformation.
- Architect Custom Solutions: Design tailored treasury workflows, aligning Embat’s platform with clients’ specific cash management, liquidity, and intercompany requirements.
- Lead Technical Proposals: Own the response for RFPs and RFIs, ensuring our proposals are technically robust, credible, and commercially persuasive.
- Voice of the UK Market: Feed real-time insights from UK finance leaders back to our Product team in Madrid to directly influence our global roadmap.
- Enable the Front Line: Empower Sales and SDR teams with the treasury knowledge and use cases needed to win in the UK market.
- Build Market Credibility: Represent Embat at industry events, webinars, and client meetings, establishing yourself as a thought leader in the London finance community.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who You Are
We aren't just checking boxes; we are looking for high-calibre individuals with a commercial mindset.
- Financial Foundation: You bring 5–8 years of experience in accounting (Big 4 background is a plus), treasury, or finance. You understand the "why" behind the numbers and have the technical weight to challenge a CFO.
- ERP Ecosystems: You understand how mid-market and enterprise firms manage their data. Experience with Microsoft, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or Sage environments is a significant plus.
- Commercial Instinct: You enjoy the "win." You are analytically strong but understand that your expertise exists to help clients make a strategic business decision.
- The "Dynamic" Expert: You may come from a professional services background, but you’ve realised you are too energetic for a back-office role. You want to be at the front line of Fintech.
- Scale-up Mindset & Flexibility: You aren’t "square." You thrive in the unknown and understand that in a founding UK team, the lines between roles are blurred. You are as comfortable helping the Product team refine a feature as you are supporting our initial customers through their early phases alongside our Success team.
- Product-Minded: You enjoy going deep into the "how." You proactively identify gaps in the platform and advocate for the UK market’s needs to ensure our product continues to evolve.
- Clear Communicator: You can translate the "plumbing" of a cash management system into actionable business impact. You are engaging and persuasive without being "salesy" or "dry."
- Hands-on Operator: You see the "big picture" but are happy to get into the weeds of a discovery session or a customer issue to ensure a flawless experience.
- Education: Degree in Finance, Business, or similar; professional certifications (e.g. CTP, CFA, or accounting qualifications) are a significant plus.
