Introduction

We are looking for a Treasury Dealer to join our treasury function, taking responsibility for the execution of daily dealing activity across money markets, foreign exchange and short-term funding instruments. This role sits at the heart of the organisation's cash and liquidity management, ensuring funds are deployed efficiently, risks are managed within approved limits, and all activity is executed in line with treasury policy and governance frameworks.

Working closely with the wider treasury team and key internal stakeholders, you will support cash forecasting, funding and investment decisions, while maintaining strong relationships with banks and financial counterparties. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, commercially minded treasury professional to operate in a fast-paced dealing environment with real impact on the organisation's financial resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily dealing activity, including money market deposits, borrowings, foreign exchange transactions and other approved instruments, in line with treasury policy, dealing mandates and delegated authorities.
  • Manage daily cash positioning and liquidity, ensuring accounts are funded appropriately and surplus cash is invested effectively to optimise return within approved risk parameters.
  • Support short-, medium- and long-term cash flow forecasting, providing analysis and insight to inform funding and investment decisions.
  • Monitor market conditions, interest rates and FX movements, providing timely intelligence and recommendations to treasury management.
  • Ensure all deals are accurately captured, confirmed and settled, working closely with back office and finance teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with banks, brokers and other financial counterparties, ensuring competitive pricing and quality of service.
  • Monitor counterparty exposures against approved limits, escalating breaches or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Support the management of financial risk, including interest rate and foreign exchange risk, through the execution of approved hedging strategies.
  • Ensure full compliance with treasury policies, internal controls, and relevant regulatory requirements, supporting internal and external audit processes as required.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of treasury systems, processes and reporting, driving automation and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate treasury reporting, including cash positions, dealing activity, counterparty exposure and performance against benchmarks.
  • Support treasury projects and initiatives, including funding transactions, banking arrangements and system implementations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
