Treasury & Funding Senior Accountant – 14-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We’re looking for a Treasury & Funding Senior Accountant to join our Treasury team on a 14-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in managing over £100 million of internal commercial lending and overseeing the £1.6 billion funds ledger, directly influencing how funding is allocated across the organisation. Your work will shape key financial decisions, including:

  • Reviewing and challenging investment proposals
  • Allocating funding to high-impact projects
  • Monitoring performance to ensure expected returns are delivered

We’re a large and complex charity, driven by a simple purpose: to care for special places so people and nature can thrive. Our income is reinvested into conservation and access, creating a virtuous circle. Strong, sustainable finances are critical to achieving this, and Treasury plays a pivotal role in making it happen.

What It’s Like To Work Here

Treasury is a motivated, collaborative team of nine, supporting everything from individual properties to Trustee-level decision-making. Our work spans:

  • Investment management
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • External financing
  • Internal lending
  • Oversight of a complex funds environment

As a small but agile team, we work closely together to deliver:

  • High-quality insight
  • Effective financing solutions
  • Continuous process improvements

You’ll have the opportunity to shape how we work, contribute new ideas, and get involved in a variety of activities across the function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
