About the Role

Support the funding and managing of the Bank’s Treasury funding requirements, whilst providing support for treasury products to wholesale and commercial clients, including foreign exchange and deposits, alongside looking to introduce new relationships to the Bank from the UK and/or international markets and support the Banks presence on deposit gathering platforms.

Ensure compliance of Treasury clients (KYC/CDD) as first line of defence and where necessary assist the Banks KYC team when onboarding new counterparties. Provide cover for the Treasury Manager. No trading limits exist for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first line of defence for KYC/CDD of treasury counterparties and products, in co-ordination with Risk & Compliance London, and support the Banks KYC team when onboarding new Treasury counterparties.
  • Assist with the liability management, ensuring funding requirements are efficient and sufficient for the London Branch and Houston Agency, on a day-to-day basis; and act as one of the main points of contact to Treasury clients and other Branch departments.
  • Help management of foreign exchange requirements on behalf of the Bank and its clients.
  • Participate, when needed, within the Bank Group to assist with global liquidity management
  • Act as cover during times of absence of the Treasury Manager
  • Support and help develop Deposit aggregators business
  • Be able to attend internal meetings as and when required
  • Enhance revenue streams from existing counterparties and seek new relationships
  • Help drive the Banks presence and ability to cash deposits from online platforms
  • Support Corporate Banking Department by providing cost effective pricing and structures if and when needed
  • Keep a keen eye on any adverse media concerning existing or new counterparties and disseminate accordingly
  • Marketing of Treasury to major wholesale. Corporate counterparties in London and USA, and be able to handle direct calls from corporate clients who wish to deal directly with London Treasury
  • Keep abreast of market news/data and development of new products
  • Duties as assigned by Manager and/or Chief Manager

Minimum Experience:

  • Basic understanding of a Treasury department
  • Treasury product and market knowledge
  • Cash/liability management and KYC/CDD experience
  • Some knowledge of FX swaps

Language:

  • English

Technical Knowledge areas

  • Treasury product and market knowledge
