Treatment Coordinator – Part-Full Time (12 Month Locum Covering Maternity Leave)
Location: Portman Dental & Implant Clinic, Maidenhead Position: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Formerly Temporary) Hours: Full-time (08:30–17:30) Pay: Competitive hourly rate starting from £13.92/hour
About the Role
Are you a passionate Treatment Coordinator looking for a fresh challenge in a supportive, professional, and patient-focused dental environment? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to join our thriving 14-surgery practice at Portman Dental & Implant Clinic in Maidenhead for 12 months, filling a maternity leave role.
Our team comprises:
- 14 dentists
- 6 hygienists
- 8 dental nurses
- Supportive management
The ideal candidate will ensure seamless patient journey management, coordinate treatment plans, and embody our commitment to excellent patient care and service.
Your Responsibilities (Key Duties Include)
- Treatment Coordination: Manage and organize patient treatment plans, scheduling, and referrals in collaboration with dentists and the wider clinical team.
- Patient Experience: Provide empathetic support to patients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and administrative needs with a Britain’s Dental customers-first mindset.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and nurses to ensure smooth workflows and operational consistency.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records as per practice standards.
- Receptive Approach: Handle negotiations and appointments with neutral, solution-oriented communication.

About You (Requirements & Skills)
We’re looking for a bright, adaptable individual with: ✔ Previous experience as a Treatment Coordinator or Patient Care Advisor, or comparable experience in a customer-facing sales or administrative role (e.g., healthcare reception, retail sales). ✔ A genuine passion for dentistry and a desire to contribute to meaningful patient outcomes. ✔ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to formulate solutions and build rapport quickly. ✔ A hands-on, highly organized attitude to Patients’ appointments and supply coordination. ✔ Familiarity with dental software is a plus but trainable; willingness to learn within a professional team.
