We are looking for a Treaty Broker to support the Latin American and Caribbean team of non-marine treaty brokers. A Spanish speaking candidate is highly preferred. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This is an exceptional and interesting position within a specialist area of the business that requires someone to support the client relationships and also our Senior Brokers. You will be joining an expanding team and will help take on the responsibility of identifying and capitalising on emerging growth opportunities across the region.

You will have the opportunity to work directly for key clients as well as with colleagues, all of which strive to provide excellent training to progress your career.

What can you expect? You will be involved in analysing risks and assisting with developing solutions for clients’ needs. Responding to client requests, queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly in order to maintain client satisfaction. Be at the forefront of product and service developments and keep clients aware of market changes. Communicate with GC network, providing and seeking knowledge and expertise.

We will rely on you to: Update Senior Brokers and Management on issues, progress and queries regularly and upon request to ensure high quality client service. Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and reinsurance companies to efficiently communicate client demands and requests internally. Assists senior brokers with complex analysis, program design recommendations for clients, and contract negotiations Work according to GC and MMCs world-class protocols. Work alongside Broker support, Brokers, Account Executives and Analytics colleagues during the client management process. Interpret and ensure accurate understanding of client submissions and prepare submission packs to support the placement of reinsurance contracts. Preparation of client and Reinsurer presentations as required. Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the region, both internally and externally, but also with overseas and London-based reinsurance markets. Assists with responding to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly in order to maintain client satisfaction. Responsible for collecting, reviewing, summarizing, and disseminating key findings from internal reports to senior account members Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases as required. Where necessary, educate other GC teams about Latin American & the Caribbean business, developments and opportunities across the region.

What you need to have: Experience in a support, underwriting, or broking role within the insurance market. Treaty experience is strongly preferred. Fluent Spanish is highly desirable. Strong relationship-building skills. Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Self-motivated. Ability to deliver results under pressure. Resilience to thrive in a competitive environment.
