We are seeking a passionate and proactive Tree Inspection Officer to join our dedicated team of tree professionals.
In this role, you will be responsible for responding to reactive tree enquiries and carrying out proactive inspections of Council-owned trees across the adopted highway network, Public Open Spaces, and the Council's property and estate portfolio.
To Be Successful In This Position, You Will Have
- Experience conducting health and safety tree inspections
- Knowledge and understanding of BS3998:2010 – Tree Work: Recommendations
- A minimum of a Lantra Basic Tree Inspection (BTI) qualification
- Strong observational skills and the ability to assess and manage tree-related risks effectively

Our Area
Wokingham is an attractive, historic market town located in the prosperous Thames Valley in the heart of Berkshire and 40 miles west of London. With easy access to the M4 and M3 motorways and on a train line between Reading and Waterloo and also Reading and Gatwick.
You will be provided with a laptop and a mix of home working and office working is available. Applicants should have a full driving licence and access to a car to undertake site visits. We are looking for people with great IT skills and a customer focused approach.
