Help Build Our Arboricultural Consultancy Division
BROWNS is an established, family-run tree surgery business with over 25 years' experience, working across Buckinghamshire and beyond.
As demand for our surveying services continues to grow, we're looking to connect with an experienced Tree Safety Surveyor / Arboricultural Consultant who wants to play a key role in developing the consultancy side of our business.
This isn't an urgent vacancy or simply another surveying role. We're looking for the right person to help us build a professional consultancy service alongside our established tree surgery business, creating long-term opportunities for both our clients and the successful applicant.
The Role
Working across domestic, commercial and public sector clients, you'll carry out a wide range of tree inspections and surveys, providing practical, professional advice and producing high-quality reports. You'll become the face of our consultancy division, helping clients manage their trees safely while identifying future management requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Tree Safety Inspections & Risk Assessments
- Tree Surveys for Schools, Commercial Estates, Councils, Woodlands & More
- Producing Clear & Professional Reports
- Advising Clients on Tree Management & Best Practice
- Building Long-term Relationships with Clients

- BS5837 Surveys and Reports
- Development Site Inspections
- Woodland Management Advice
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience carrying out tree inspections and arboricultural surveys
- Has excellent tree identification and defect recognition skills
- Can confidently communicate with clients and provide practical advice
- Produces professional, well-written reports
- Can manage their own workload and appointments alongside the office
- Has a full UK driving licence
- Wants to help build and grow a consultancy department, not simply fill another surveying role
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 3 Arboriculture qualification or above
- Professional Tree Inspection (PTI)
- BS5837 experience
- Experience producing arboricultural reports
- Knowledge of BS3998
- Experience working with schools, local authorities, commercial estates or housing associations
