Job Opportunity for Experienced Arborist

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work under guidance of a Lead Arborist alongside a Junior Arborist
  • Preserve, plant, prune, and fell trees, hedgerows, and shrubs
  • Operate a range of tools and machinery safely (chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, aerial lifts)
  • Respond to emergencies and maintain site safety
  • Deliver high-quality, customer-focused arboriculture services
  • Support team best practice and ensure compliance with regulations

🧩 What We’re Looking For

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Arborist or Tree Surgeon (pruning, felling, planting, maintaining tree health)
  • Skilled in operating and maintaining arboricultural tools and machinery
  • Knowledge of tree species, growth habits, and disease identification
  • Strong health & safety awareness and ability to work at height
  • Full UK driving licence and trailer entitlement

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds NPTC/Lantra Level 3 in Arboriculture or Horticulture
  • IPAF 3a, 3b, 1b (cherry picker/MEWP)
  • CS30–CS40 chainsaw and pruning certifications
  • NPTC chipper operations
  • Other relevant arboriculture qualifications desirable

  • Team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Committed to inclusive, high-quality customer service
  • Willingness to undertake further training and professional development

Other Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Basic DBS check (arranged by us)
