Job Purpose
JOB DESCRIPTION
Weatherford Aberdeen has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Operator IV to join the TRS Team. The TRS Field Operator IV is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tubular running operations, directly impacting the success of drilling projects and client satisfaction. It involves overseeing and executing complex tubular handling operations on drilling rigs, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Field Operators, providing guidance and training to ensure adherence to operational standards and safety protocols.
- Coordinate and oversee the rig-up and rig-down of TRS equipment, ensuring all operations are conducted efficiently and safely.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and rig personnel, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Operate and maintain advanced TRS equipment, including power tongs, torque turn systems, and casing running tools, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform functional tests, inspections, and monitoring of equipment, adhering to specific work instructions and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure all operations comply with Weatherford's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, as well as industry regulations and standards.
- Conduct safety meetings, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety on-site.
- Monitor and enforce safety practices among team members, addressing any non-compliance issues immediately.
- Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair of TRS equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure readiness for operations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and inventory levels.
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, lubricated, and stored according to Weatherford's standards.
- Complete detailed job reports, time sheets, and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement in operational procedures and equipment performance.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders regarding job status and any issues encountered.

Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of oil and gas offshore field experience with at least 5-6 years in Tubular Running Services (TRS) in a supervisory role.
- Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and monitoring of TRS equipment.
- Critical thinking, active learning and listening, complex problem solving.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, strong judgment and decision-making to be in line with policies and procedures.
- Good time management.
- Quality Control Analysis to ensure the product meets required standards.
- Able to meet the physical demands that the role requires.
- Information and task ordering and ability to identify when a problem may occur and, where possible, to understand the solution.
- Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery.
- Ability to imagine how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair, or modifications.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts, and travel to remote locations as required.
