Truckwash Operative/Supervisor - £13.87ph - Monday to Friday!

We’re now looking for a hands-on Truck Wash Operative to take ownership of day-to-day standards in our truck wash operation, ensuring every vehicle is cleaned safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

This is a great opportunity for someone with supervisory or senior operative experience who enjoys being on the ground, leading by example and helping deliver a great service for professional drivers.

What you will be doing:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the truck wash operation on shift
  • Coordinating workflow, vehicle movements and bay readiness to meet customer demand
  • Making sure all vehicles are cleaned to specification, including exteriors and trailers
  • Ensuring safe use of equipment and cleaning chemicals, following all health & safety and COSHH procedures
  • Monitoring standards of cleanliness, quality and customer service — and stepping in quickly when needed
  • Providing on-the-job guidance and support to colleagues working in the truck wash
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for operational issues or customer queries
  • Reporting faults, incidents, near misses and maintenance issues promptly
  • Supporting audits, stock control and basic reporting with the Truck Wash Operations Manager

While this role doesn’t have direct line management responsibility, you’ll coordinate activity on shift and help keep everything running smoothly.

What you’ll bring to us:

  • Experience in a supervisory, shift coordination or senior operative role (desirable)
  • Confidence to take ownership of standards and guide others on shift
  • Strong communication and organisation skills, with a calm approach under pressure
  • A proactive, responsible attitude to health, safety and quality
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and carry out physical tasks safely
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends

Due to some responsibilities within the role, applicants will need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.

You maybe working as a crew member, team member, retail assistant or a customer service assistant, you might even be looking for a career change as a carer, cleaner or a warehouse or yard assistant/operative, we’d love to hear from you!

*Annual bonus scheme equivalent to 1 week's salary based on average hours worked (define period)
