six to twelve month fixed term contract
We are delighted to invite applications for a 6-12 month fixed term post as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. This post will join The Royal London’s team of Emergency Medicine specialist clinical fellows. We welcome applications for posts starting in February/March 2027 or August/September 2027. We welcome applications from candidates looking to work on both a full-time and less than full time basis.
Our Clinical Fellow posts are intended to provide experience in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in a major trauma centre. They are aimed at Emergency Medicine or Paediatric trainees, looking to gain further experience in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.

Fellows will have 40 days per 12 months to be spent undertaking their special programme activity. Please see the job description for full details of the special programmes.
The successful candidate will join a highly motivated, consultant led team delivering high quality emergency care to East London. The department receives a full range of emergencies from the local area in addition to major trauma from North East London and Essex with a total of 180,000 patients seen each year including 40,000 paediatric patients.

The post includes registrar level duties in the paediatric emergency department working on a full shift rota. Clinical duties are supported by 24/7 consultant presence, senior training registrars and a team of junior doctors and practitioners.
Candidates must hold full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice.
