An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatrics Department at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust on a fixed term contract until September 2027.

This post is suitable for a ST3-8 level doctor who is looking to broaden their experience in Paediatric care, or a career trainee who wants to gain further experience prior to applying for specialist training.

You will join a friendly, enthusiastic and supportive paediatric clinical team, with a strong culture of teamwork, education and delivering outstanding care for children and young people.

The successful candidate will gain experience in:

  • Acute inpatient paediatrics
  • The Paediatric Assessment Unit
  • Neonatal care
  • Outpatient clinics
  • The resident middle-grade on-call rota

There are excellent opportunities to develop clinical skills, participate in teaching, audit and quality improvement projects, and work with colleagues with a wide range of paediatric subspecialty interests. Individual training and development needs are supported wherever possible.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
