We are seeking a dedicated Trust Estates Manager to lead the efficient management, development, and maintenance of estates across all schools within the trust.
About the Role
The Trust Estates Manager will:
- Ensure trust sites are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and strategically supported through operational delivery.
- Provide operational leadership of estates, facilities, and compliance across all trust schools.
- Lead and support Site Managers, enforce standards, and manage contractors within directive oversight from the Director of Infrastructure.
- Support the implementation of the Trust’s estates strategy while focusing on operational excellence, compliance assurance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Operational and Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the Director of Infrastructure to:
- Develop and implement the Trust’s estates strategy.
- Shape the asset management strategy, climate action plans, and energy-saving initiatives.
- } Monitor and enhance condition and climate-related compliance across estates.
Project and Maintenance Coordination
- Oversee entire capital projects, from briefing to completion:
- Budget management and value-for-money delivery.
- In-depth estimating, expenditure oversight, and risk mitigation.
- Procurement coordination and contractor performance management.
- Develop, execute, and update condition-based maintenance programmes for buildings and grounds.
- Ensure all planned maintenance aligns with operational needs and statutory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with headteachers, premise teams, architects, consultants, and contractors to:
- Deliver capital works and capital upgrades on time.
- Maintain high-quality estate standards across trusts.
Safety and Continuous Improvement
- Proactively drive a safe, high-quality environment aligned with:
- Site Accessibility Regulations.
- Student safety (including emergency-risk frameworks).
- Cost-effective operational outreach (e.g., Health/Safety training, insurance management).
