Trust Fundraiser

Trusts Fundraiser – Part-time (21hrs/week, Flexible, 1x Week in Bedford)

Salary: £31,000 - £34,000 Contract: Part-time (1 day per week in Bedford, flexible working supported) Closing Date: 29th June


About the Role

We are partnering with an inspiring charity dedicated to supporting socially isolated older people and strengthening their community. Ideal for an experienced and motivated Trusts Fundraiser, this opportunity allows you to harness your fundraising expertise in a purpose-driven environment.

The charity is already in a strong financial position, with 80% of their income target secured for the financial year. In this role, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of warm funders, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Explore new opportunities in trusts and community groups to diversify income
  • Lead grant applications with a track record of success
  • Develop and deliver creative community fundraising initiatives
  • Organise and execute memorable fundraising events

Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Grant Fundraising:
    • Securing meaningful, long-term grant funding
    • Leading successful applications to trusts and foundations
    • Ensuring compliance with donor requirements

  • Income Diversification:

    • Exploring new funding sources and partnerships
    • Strengthening relationships with existing and potential funders

  • Relationship Management:

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience in fundraising, with a demonstrated track record in securing grant funding
  • A strong history of generating income across multiple streams (grants, individual donations, corporate partnerships, etc.)
  • Experience in managing donor and stakeholder relationships, along with outstanding negotiation and communication skills
  • A passion for the charity sector and its mission to combat social isolation
  • Ability to work flexibly (1 day per week in Bedford) as part of a small but dedicated team
