Role Description
This is a part-time, limited term contract, remote Trust & Safety Volunteer role based in London. The Trust & Safety Volunteer will help monitor community spaces, events, and interactions to ensure they align with established safety, conduct, and privacy guidelines.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:


Get help with your application

- Reviewing reports of potential policy misalignment, misconduct
- Escalating sensitive issues to appropriate team members
- Documenting incidents in a clear and timely manner
The volunteer will assist in:
- Developing and updating trust and safety protocols
- Contributing to risk assessments
- Supporting training sessions for staff and volunteers on safety best practices
This role also involves:
- Liaising with community members
- Providing guidance on policies
- Helping maintain a respectful, inclusive environment
Qualifications
- You care deeply about public Trust and Safety, believe in democracy and democratic procedure and engagement.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate reports, identify patterns, and support risk assessments.
- Effective communication skills, including clear written documentation and confident verbal interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with UK regulatory and safeguarding standards, particularly in civic or public engagement contexts.
- Basic understanding of parliamentary to support compliance, risk awareness, and responsible handling of sensitive information.
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and ethical decision-making.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and follow established procedures consistently.
- Experience in community management, compliance, legal, safeguarding, or trust and safety roles is beneficial.
