If you are interested in people and their families and have at least two year’s experience in trust or estate work then there is a great opportunity for you in the London Trust & Estate Team. Consisting of 10 skilled professionals, our Trust and Estate team ranks among the largest Trust departments in London (for a firm of our size) and we are seeking an ambitious Trust Senior who is eager to enhance their expertise in Trust and Estate through learning and development.
As a Trust Senior, you will manage a diverse portfolio of trust clients, handling trusts encompassing private company shares, multi-million-pound assets in property and investments, as well as deceased clients’ estates. The team currently provides a service for approximately 600+ Trusts; estates; small private charities; individual clients and their families and family office type administrative services.
In this role you will have the opportunity to deal with both compliance and advisory work.
You’ll also collaborate with various departments within the firm, along with regular interactions with clients, solicitors, stockbrokers, HMRC, other professional bodies and key stakeholders.
About The Role
- Drafting trust tax returns and managing access permissions
- Preparing annual trust accounts
- Assisting with drafting estate accounts and attending to estate administration period tax reporting requirements
- Assisting the team with Trust and Estate advisory tasks
- Communicating effectively with clients and external professionals
- Assisting with the financials of the department including raising fees
- Preparing and calculating inheritance tax events accurately

- Strong communication skills

- Exposure to Trust or estate environment
- Aspiring to pursue professional exams (e.g., ATT, CTA, STEP)
