We are seeking a proactive and reliable Trust Site Operative to support the smooth running of our vibrant academy sites across East Sussex. The successful candidate will be required to work across all Trust locations, travelling between sites as needed using the site vehicles, and supporting the safe transport of pupils, including driving the school minibus to and from our schools in Crowborough and Wadhurst. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining safe, clean and welcoming spaces for our students, staff and visitors.
MARK Education Trust is a multi-academy trust based in East Sussex that has developed through a steady process of growth and collaboration between local schools. It was originally established on 22 February 2012 as the Beacon Community College Academy Trust, following Beacon Community College’s conversion to academy status in April 2012 – Beacon is situated in Crowborough. In January 2022, the organisation formally rebranded as MARK Education Trust, reflecting a renewed vision to expand and strengthen partnership working across schools. Since then, the trust has grown carefully, welcoming Uplands Academy in Wadhurst in September 2022 and continuing its development with the addition of Hailsham Academy in 2025. Throughout its journey, the Trust has remained focused on collaboration, sharing expertise, and improving outcomes for young people, guided by its ambition to provide high-quality education and create a community of schools that support each other and strive for excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
