About Action for Children
Action for Children has been supporting children, young people, and families across the UK for over 150 years. Our core work includes:

About This Role
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Board as:

Core Responsibilities
- Provide strategic challenge to the organisation’s governance framework.
- Ensure robust oversight of financial, risk, and compliance processes.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism within Board-level decisions.
- Demonstrate empathy for the needs of vulnerable children and families.
- Act with integrity in line with Action for Children’s values and mission.
Key Attributes
- Exceptional leadership experience in risk management, audit, or governance.
- Strong commitment to voluntary governance, ethical behaviour, and long-term impact.
- A passion for children’s rights and advocacy.

Role Requirements
- Voluntary position (only reasonable travel/expenses are reimbursed).
- Three-year term, renewable for up to two additional terms.
