Shropshire PCAS Trustee Opportunities
Shropshire PCAS is seeking passionate Trustees to help shape the future of our independent advocacy charity. Use your skills to support good governance, influence strategy and help ensure vulnerable adults across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin have their voices heard.
What difference will you make?
As a Trustee at Shropshire PCAS, your contribution will help shape the future of independent advocacy across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. Your strategic input will support our ambition to grow the charity, strengthen our financial sustainability and ensure more vulnerable adults can access the advocacy they need.

As a Trustee, you will play an important role in guiding these developments, helping us make informed decisions that benefit both the organisation and the people we support.
Ultimately, your involvement will help ensure that people who are often unheard have access to an independent advocate, empowering them to have their voice heard and their rights upheld when it matters most.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who share our commitment to ensuring vulnerable adults have their voices heard. You do not need previous trustee experience, we welcome first-time trustees and will provide a full induction and ongoing support.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in one or more of the following areas
- Finance or accountancy
- Fundraising and income generation
- Marketing, communications or public relations
- Legal or governance
- Human resources and organisational development
- Health and social care
- Digital, IT or data
- Business development or strategic leadership
Above all, we are looking for people who can think strategically, ask constructive questions, work collaboratively and are committed to good governance. A willingness to dedicate time to Board meetings and contribute to the charity's future is essential.

Shropshire PCAS is entering an exciting period of growth as we work to increase awareness of independent advocacy, strengthen our long-term sustainability and expand the support available to vulnerable adults across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

Our Board of Trustees brings together a range of experience and is committed to ensuring the charity continues to thrive. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking to welcome new Trustees who can help shape our future, provide strategic oversight and support the organisation through its next phase of development.
We have ambitious plans to diversify our income, build stronger partnerships with local organisations and businesses, increase our visibility within the community and demonstrate the impact of our work. New Trustees will play an important role in helping us achieve these goals, contributing to discussions around strategy, sustainability and organisational development.
Trustees will attend Board meetings, contribute to key strategic decisions and may have the opportunity to join or lead sub-groups focused on areas such as finance, fundraising, governance or organisational development, depending on their interests and experience.
This is an opportunity to make a lasting difference to a well-established local charity that has supported thousands of people over the past 30 years. By joining our Board, you will help ensure that people who are often unheard have someone independent standing alongside them, empowering them to have a voice in decisions that affect their lives. Your contribution will help shape the future of advocacy across our communities and enable more people to access the support they deserve.
