To help us continue our amazing work in the community we are looking to recruit new trustees to our wonderful board.
The GCF team is supported by a committed board of Trustees, who have developed a culture of “we are here to serve” and passionately supporting GCF and Gloucestershire.
What difference will you make?
We are keen to build our Board of Trustees by welcoming people who bring connections or relevant expertise, particularly in business development, fundraising and events and digital.
As we prepare to launch our new strategy supported by our 3 strategic pillars; to encourage philanthropy, invest in our communities and increase our impact in the county, we are looking for people to join us on this collective journey to empower our communities.
Your role as a Trustee will be to act as an ambassador and advocate for the work of the community foundation in the wider community of Gloucestershire.

- Commitment to the vision, mission, and values of the Foundation
- Leadership within an organisation (depending on age, if a young person community engagement)
- Willingness to devote the necessary time and effort; particularly volunteering to support GCF run events and visits to funded local charitable organisations

What will you be doing?
Trustees come from all walks of life and we aim to make sure the Board represents the diverse communities of Gloucestershire. GCF is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, so Trustees are the Directors with legal responsibility to ensure the organisation is well run and fulfils its public benefit mission.

The Foundation inspires a sense of community and place and unites all sectors and residents around our love of Gloucestershire, inspiring giving back, in all its forms, funding, volunteering, skills, education and sector leadership support. We advocate on behalf of the charity sector, that charities are not just a nice to have but the social fabric of our society and vital if Gloucestershire is to thrive.
This year, we have an exciting new strategy, to deliver £1 Million into communities across Gloucestershire, annually forever, so we are looking for passionate, committed trustees that can bring their skill set to help support our ambitious goal.
