What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who has a keen understanding of fundraising and income generation. You should have demonstrable experience of developing new revenue streams and/or fundraising ideas for organisations, and it is a bonus if you have been involved in elements of service design!

What will you be doing?
Age UK Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge are looking to add a new Trustee to our Board. We’re eagerly searching for someone who is passionate about fundraising, and has demonstrable experience in either fundraising or income generation backgrounds. We’re particularly keen to work with someone who understands the nature of fundraising in the not-for-profit sector.
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with our Board and our Senior Leadership Team as we explore new avenues to raise funds so that we are able to meet the needs of more people across Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge.

In this role you’ll
- Support with our budgeting and planning, ensuring we are putting the right resource into areas including fundraising and marketing.
- Work closely with our services teams to explore how we can diversify the services we offer to attract funding from new sources.
- Collaborate with our fundraising and marketing teams to support new ideas for income generation, and advocate for these areas of work at a Board level.
- Play a role in helping with day-to-day governance and charity reporting.
- Provide expert advice and guidance across income generation, fundraising and service development.
This is the perfect role for somebody who wants to use their skills and passions to support older people living in Kent. Your support will be crucial in supporting our teams as they explore new ideas and opportunities to fundraise, whilst also ensuring we generate the income needed to support our day-to-day work and ensure that our communities have longevity they can depend on.
You won’t just be supporting us on a local level - you’ll become part of a network of over 100 local Age UK charities working as part of a federation. It’s a huge opportunity to make a difference to the lives of older people across England, and also offers a way to learn more about the world of federated charities and how they work.
