Grantham Foodbank seeks a Trustee to lead on fundraising and grants, helping secure vital income to support our work. You’ll shape fundraising strategy, develop funding bids, and strengthen community support for people facing hardship.

Grantham Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust network, working to provide relief of poverty in Grantham and surrounding areas, particularly by:
- Providing emergency food supplies to individuals and families in need
- Offering guidance and signposting through strong local partnerships
- Contributing to Trussell Trust initiatives that address the root causes of poverty
Our vision is to ensure no one in our community experiences food insecurity.
Our Work
Grantham Foodbank delivers:
- Emergency food parcels to individuals and families experiencing hardship
- Support and signposting, working closely with referring agencies (e.g., schools, health services, charities)
- Collaborative efforts with The Trussell Trust to combat poverty

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Trustee with:
- Experience or passion for:
- Fundraising
- Grant applications
- Partnership building
- Strong strategic thinking
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build relationships (locally and at Board level)
- Deep commitment to our mission
- Ability to uphold integrity and ethical standards (e.g., adherence to the Nolan Principles)
Role Details
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
You will lead on:
- Developing a fundraising strategy
- Identifying income opportunities (sources, collaborations, campaign ideas)
- Preparing grant applications (or supporting the team)
- Building and maintaining relationships with supporters, donors, and partners
- Ensuring ethical, compliant, and mission-aligned fundraising efforts
By doing so, you will directly contribute to the Foodbank’s ability to provide vital support to those in need.
