Trustee Liability Insurance Consultant
This is an exciting opportunity to join Isio’s fast growing Employee Benefits business, which spans strategic benefit design, workplace health & wellbeing consulting, DC pensions, benefits technology and employee engagement & support.
Working within the Workplace Health & Wellbeing team, you will be responsible for advising pension scheme trustees and sponsoring employers on appropriate trustee indemnity solutions. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical insight into pensions governance, excellent market knowledge, and a passion for driving rapid commercial growth.
What does the role entail?
The Trustee Liability Insurance Consultant is responsible for leading Trustee Indemnity Insurance (TII) and Pensions Trustee Liability (PTL) engagements, structuring suitable cover, negotiating with insurers/underwriters, and providing clear, timely, and proactive service. With a strong pipeline and large scope for expansion, this is an opportunity to be instrumental in shaping Isio’s TTI and PTL propositions.
Advise pension trustee boards on appropriate trustee indemnity insurance cover, for project based and ongoing engagements. Deliver clear, practical explanations of complex coverage and regulatory matters to trustee boards and pensions stakeholder. Manage the full lifecycle of the insurance process including negotiating optimal terms, placement, renewals, mid‑term adjustments, and policy reviews. Oversee implementation of policies, ensuring arrangements, documentation and regulatory requirements are correctly and efficiently delivered. Oversee timely and accurate documentation, ensuring alignment with FCA requirements and internal compliance standards. Conduct regular market reviews to ensure clients receive up‑to‑date and relevant coverage options. Act as the primary point of contact during claims, coordinating between clients, insurers, and legal advisers to support efficient resolution. Demonstrate strong technical insight into pensions governance and excellent market knowledge. Maintain an up to date understanding of insurer terms, market practice, legislation, and regulatory developments. Build and maintain deep relations with providers, underwriters and specialists in the market to secure competitive and comprehensive terms. Identify new business opportunities, participating in tender responses and prospect presentations.

What we’re looking for?
Demonstrable significant industry experience, including providing PTL/TII advice and leading client and introducer interactions. Deep market knowledge of insurer terms, market practice, legislation, and regulatory developments, combined with excellent provider, underwriter and specialist relations. Experience working within a large, well-established, client-facing consulting or advisory organisation is preferred. CII Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) or progress towards CII Diploma / Advanced Diploma (Dip CII / ACII), with pensions specific modules preferred. Strong commercial acumen, with experience of successfully growing revenue over a sustained period. Collaborative team player with a commitment to mentoring, supporting colleagues, and contributing to team development.
