Volunteer Trustee for Marketing & Social Media
We are looking for a passionate and creative volunteer trustee to lead our marketing and social media presence, helping us reach more families, supporters, healthcare professionals, and potential fundraisers.
What Difference Will You Make?
Ragdolls UK is a charity dedicated to supporting girls and women with Turner syndrome, along with their families and carers. We provide information, raise awareness, build supportive communities, and work to improve the lives of those affected by Turner syndrome across the UK.
As a trustee, you will share responsibility for the overall governance of the charity, ensuring it is well run, financially sustainable, and delivers on its charitable objectives. Trustees are expected to act in the charity's best interests and comply with charity law and governance requirements.

What Are We Looking For?
Essential
- Experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or social media.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging online audiences.
- An understanding of branding and audience engagement.
- A commitment to the aims and values of Ragdolls UK.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a trustee board.
Desirable
- Charity or voluntary sector experience.
- Experience with social media analytics.
- Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva).
- Website or email marketing experience.
- PR or media relations experience.
- Fundraising marketing experience.
- Knowledge or personal experience of Turner syndrome (not essential).
Remote
- Location: Remote (UK-based preferred)
- Commitment: Approximately 3–6 hours per month, including attendance at trustee meetings (typically held online).
- Salary: Voluntary, unpaid position. Reasonable agreed expenses may be reimbursed.
As a Trustee with responsibility for Marketing & Social Media, you will work alongside the Board of Trustees to help shape the charity's public profile and communications. You'll provide strategic oversight while also helping to develop engaging content and campaigns that increase awareness and support for the charity.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance on the charity's marketing and communications.
- Oversee and help develop our social media presence across relevant platforms.
- Create and implement campaigns to increase awareness of Turner syndrome and the work of Ragdolls UK.
- Help grow our online community and supporter engagement.
- Support fundraising campaigns through effective marketing and digital communications.
- Ensure all communications reflect the charity's values and brand.
- Advise the Board on marketing opportunities, trends, and best practice.
- Work collaboratively with fellow trustees and volunteers.
