Use your fundraising, partnerships or business development experience to help grow recovery support across Hertfordshire and beyond. Join The Living Room as a trustee and help strengthen income, relationships and long-term sustainability.

What difference will you make?

Strong partnerships and sustainable income are essential to ensuring The Living Room can continue supporting individuals and families affected by addiction, both now and in the future.

As demand for our services grows, we are looking for a trustee who can help us strengthen external relationships, identify new opportunities and support long-term sustainability in a thoughtful and values-led way.

Your experience could help us

Strengthen our strategic approach to fundraising and income generation Build partnerships that expand our reach, influence and impact Identify new opportunities for collaboration, support or community engagement Increase awareness and visibility of The Living Room across different sectors and networks Support sustainable growth while remaining aligned with our mission and values

This role is about more than fundraising alone. It is about helping us build strong relationships, open doors, think creatively about growth and ensure recovery support remains accessible to the people who need it most.

As a Lived Experience Recovery Organisation (LERO), it is especially important that our partnerships and income generation reflect who we are. Your contribution will help ensure our approach remains authentic, ethical and grounded in lived experience.

By strengthening our sustainability and external relationships, you will help us reach more individuals and families, support stronger recovery communities and increase the long-term impact of our work across Hertfordshire and beyond.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a trustee who brings relevant professional experience alongside the personal qualities needed to contribute effectively to a collaborative and values-led board.

Experience And Knowledge

You will have experience in fundraising, partnerships, income generation or a related field. This may come from the charity sector, corporate environment or another relevant setting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
