About Action East Devon (AED)
Action East Devon (AED) is a small-medium sized charity and registered company delivering wellbeing and mental health services to young people across East Devon. We have a small but highly skilled team of 8 and a committed and hard working Board of Trustees.
What Difference Will You Make?
We are a small but impactful charity in East Devon and every Trustee works hard to make a difference. While having a strategic focus, our Trustees also play a very hands on role.
We know trustees bring valuable skills and experience to their role which complement our small team. We value trustees who can contribute specific knowledge, expertise and guidance by working closely with the team on subjects such as youth work, safeguarding, staffing, fundraising, strategic planning, finance, healthcare, cyber security, AI etc.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
