About the Role We’re recruiting two Trustees to join Lifescape’s board and help us achieve our vision of a world rich in wild landscapes, providing a sustainable future for life on earth.

What difference will you make?
Trustees play a vital role in ensuring that the Lifescape Project (Lifescape) fulfils its purpose. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing management and administration of the charity
- Ensuring Lifescape has a clear strategy in alignment with the vision
- Supporting and challenging the executive team to foster growth and progress
- Catalysing creation, restoration, and protection of wild landscapes through science, technology, law, economics, and cultural expertise
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking Energetic individuals who are committed to the role. Prior experience in working with an NGO, volunteering, or serving as a trustee is helpful but not required—we provide full induced training.

This recruitment welcomes anyone who feels they can contribute. We particularly encourage applications from candidates with experience or networks in:
- Planning and delivering conservation or rewilding programmes in Europe, or Eastern/Southern Africa
- Environmental economics or natural capital accounting
- Major donor/grant fundraising for charities
- Strategic communications
The role is remote.
Responsibilities
As a Trustee, your key duties include:
- Providing advice and support on Lifescape’s vision, goals, activities, and purpose
- Approving operational strategies and policies, along with monitoring their implementation
- Overseeing financial plans, budgets, and progress
- Reviewing and approving financial statements
- Staying informed about changes in Lifescape’s environment and identifying/monitoring key risks
- Offering constructive support and challenge to the CEO
- Contributing to board discussions with preparedness for meetings
- Applying expertise and networks to promote Lifescape’s aims and enhance its reputation

Given Lifescape’s size, trustees may occasionally be asked to:
- Assist in recruitment efforts
- Develop internal policies
- Conduct ad-hoc reviews of strategic decisions
- Advise the team on specialized subject areas relevant to expertise
