Location Hybrid role / Cornford Lane, Pembury, TN2 4QU

Hours 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Salary £36,000 – £46,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Closing date Tuesday 21st July 2026

About Aspens

We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious Trusts and Foundations Manager to lead our fastest-growing income stream.

This role:

  • Plays a key strategic role in securing funding for life-changing services.
  • Works across the organisation to identify projects, develop compelling bids, and build donor relationships.
  • Suits those passionate about creating meaningful funding opportunities with a collaborative, results-driven approach.

The Role

Reporting to: Head of Income Generation

Key responsibilities:

  • Ownership of Aspens’ trusts and foundations fundraising strategy.
  • Developing a strong pipeline of funding opportunities aligned with our strategic priorities.
  • Collaborating with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and senior leadership to:
    • Write high-quality bids.
    • Manage funder relationships.
    • Ensure adherence to funding compliance, grant management, and reporting (application to reporting).
  • Growth-oriented role with an initial income target of £100,000+ in Year 1, plus long-term expansion plans.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement the trusts and foundations fundraising strategy.
  • Identify and research funding opportunities across major trusts and foundations.
  • Work with colleagues to shape and innovate fundable projects.
  • Write persuasive funding applications tailored to charitable funders.
  • Build and steward relationships with grants and trusts.
  • Manage grant reporting, compliance, and impact tracking.
  • Collaborate cross-organisationally to maximise funding potential.
  • Champion best practice within trusts and foundations fundraising.

What We’re Looking For

You must have:

  • Proven expertise in trusts fundraising with a track record of securing multi-figure grants (£50k+).
  • Experience in compelling fundraising applications.
  • Knowledge of major funders, including:
    • The National Lottery
    • Lloyds Bank Foundation
    • Garfield Weston Foundation
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across teams without direct line management.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Experience in charity, health, social care, or autism/disability sectors.
  • Practical CRM tools expertise (e.g., Salesforce or similar).
