Used Leasing Operations Controller

12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)

End Date: Wednesday 15 July 2026

Salary: £36,224 – £38,130 (1 hourly rate set at £36,225)

Location: Watford

Working Pattern: Hybrid (3+ days per week at Watford office) During training: 5 days in-office until competence is achieved (unless flexibility agreed)


About the Role

The Used Leasing Operations Controller will oversee the operational delivery of all used leased vehicles within our pre-loved range, ensuring they meet consistent high standards through cost-effective management and exceptional customer delivery.

This role involves:

  • Authorising and preparing vehicles to strict standards
  • Collaborating with stakeholders (cutomers, suppliers, workshop teams)
  • Maintaining used car stock documentation
  • Securing compliant coverage for all vehicle leases and SMRs

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Directly manage used leased vehicle operations for Tusker clients
  • Authorise necessary repairs and Service and Maintenance Reports (SMR) to align with used car standards
  • Identify non-compliant vehicles and redirect them to conventional remarketing channels
  • Maintain the Used Car Stock database and related documentation

Stakeholder Liaison

  • Work closely with workshop teams, Order & Delivery, and brand vendors to ensure smooth vehicle distribution
  • Act as a liaison between customers, office staff and external repairers
  • Coordinate SMR approval processes with workshop managers and operational teams

Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Deep understanding of automotive maintenance & repair (both ICE & electric vehicles)
  • Formal experience in a manufacturer’s franchised dealership (workshop/service desks)
  • Cost approval/audit function experience (e.g., lease or finance environment)
  • Strong stated & practical communication skills (managing suppliers, customers, and drivers)
  • Attention to detail with accuracy-focused processes

Preferred

  • Prior experience within dealerships or used vehicle operations
  • Fluency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office
  • Track record of goal-oriented performance in team settings
