About New Way Tuition Ltd
At New Way Tuition Ltd, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of the challenges they face. We specialise in alternative education, supporting students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) or SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, or those at risk of permanent exclusion.

The Role
As an Outreach Tutor, you’ll play a key role in supporting students from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 11, helping them rebuild confidence and reconnect with education.
You’ll deliver one-to-one or small group sessions in subjects such as:
- English
- Maths
- PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education)
- Interventions and mentoring

Sessions usually take place in students’ homes, local libraries, or schools—ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Delivering personalised tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s needs
- Inspiring students to overcome challenges and reach their academic goals
- Building positive relationships with students and their families
- Adapting your teaching style to suit diverse learning needs
- Using creative resources and approaches to make learning engaging
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking tutors who bring energy, patience, and passion to their work.
Essential:
✅ Previous experience working with children or young people ✅ Strong understanding of English and Maths ✅ Experience supporting students with SEND or additional needs ✅ Current Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service clearance)
Desirable (but Not Essential):
🔹 QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) 🔹 QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) 🔹 PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or a degree in Education, English, Maths, or a related subject
