New Way Tuition Ltd is recruiting passionate outreach tutors to support students receiving alternative provision through engaging, tailored 1:1 sessions.
About the Role
As an +Outreach Tutor++, you will work with students from EYFS to Year 11, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). Sessions take place in homes, libraries, or school settings, depending on the learner’s needs.
Sessions Include
- English
- Maths
- PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education)
- Mentoring and engagement support
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised learning sessions
- Support students with SEN and behavioural challenges
- Build positive, trusting relationships with learners and their families
- Maintain clear session notes and progress reports
- Uphold safeguarding and professional standards at all times

What You Need
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills), PGCE, or equivalent ([desirable, but not essential])
- Experience as a **TA (Teaching Assistant), LSA (Learning Support Assistant), HLTA, mentor, youth worker, unqualified tutor, or in alternative provision/1:1 settings]
- Strong subject knowledge in English and/or Maths
- Experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH
- Enhanced DBS check ([or commitment to obtaining one])
- Confidence in working independently and adapting lessons for diverse learners
