Casual Tutor - Counselling L1, L2, L3 (Thurrock Adult Community College)

Salary: £26.07 - £29.72 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Grade TUTLEC 1 – 4 depending on teaching qualifications and experience.

Permanent Contract

Hours per Week are variable (as & when required) and subject to demand

We are seeking engaging and committed individuals to join us as casual tutors to teach Counselling L1, L2 or L3; you don’t need to be able to teach all levels and we ask you to specify those you can teach within your supporting statement.  You will be passionate about your subject, have previous and relevant industry experience and be keen to inspire our learners. This role is an exciting opportunity to support Thurrock residents with developing their skills and confidence in a subject of interest to them in their everyday life and work.

  • Thurrock Adult Community College is the local authority’s provider of adult education for Thurrock. Our main base is in the Old Court House in Grays, but we deliver courses across the borough.
  • You will be responsible for planning courses and lessons, creating resources, teaching lessons, and marking learners work and giving developmental feedback.
  • Experience of teaching adults is desirable.
  • You will have level 2 qualifications in English and maths, ideally a level 3 award in Education and Training 
  • You will be required to have a qualification or experience within any subject you wish to teach.

DBS Check: At Enhanced Level with Children's Barred list is required for this post.
